My Journey at Eurowings – From Cabin Crew Member to Team Lead Cabin Crew
I started at Eurowings in 2016, already bringing six years of experience with other airlines. What immediately impressed me was the incredibly warm and positive work atmosphere. From day one, I truly felt welcome.
Just a year later, I had the opportunity to step up as a Purser. This role was not only a lot of fun but also opened up entirely new perspectives. The first few weeks were challenging, of course, but thanks to the amazing team on board, I quickly realized that anything is possible when the crew sticks together. That’s exactly what makes Eurowings special for me.
In 2024, inspired by my colleagues in Cologne, I decided to take the next step and applied for the position of Team Lead Cabin Crew. Today, a year later, I proudly support our station alongside two amazing colleagues, bringing full passion and dedication to the role.
Every day brings something new and exciting because no day in flight operations is ever the same. And that’s exactly what I love: the dynamism, the variety, and the teamwork.
What is a Team Lead Cabin Crew and what are the responsibilities?
As a Purser at the Cologne station, I spend about 60% of my time in the air – roughly twelve flight days per month. The remaining 40% I spend working as a Team Lead Cabin Crew together with my two colleagues. In this role, we carry both disciplinary and professional responsibility for our team at CGN.
What does that mean? Above all, it means leading collaboratively, positively, and on an equal footing. Every day, we motivate our colleagues to grow, take responsibility, and ensure that our guests arrive safely and with a smile.
As Team Leads, we work closely with Crew Planning, Crew Control, the Product and Communications teams, other stations, and our Head of Cabin. To stay up to date, we regularly participate in trainings – because there’s no standing still at Eurowings.
I also support at Assessment Center, where I see firsthand how we bring the best new colleagues on board and help shape the team of tomorrow.
I genuinely enjoy what we do together. We pull together as a team, support each other, and create a working atmosphere where engagement, development, and solidarity come first.

My personal WOW moment – the people I work with
I get to work with colleagues who go the extra mile every day, who are passionate and dedicated, and who inspire me to always give my best. The moment I arrive at the airport, I know that the day might be long and sometimes exhausting – but I’ll spend it with unique people who truly live teamwork and make every assignment special.
And that’s exactly what makes Eurowings special for me. I’m excited to see what the future holds for our team and I look forward to welcoming everyone who wants to join us on our journey.
